The second title in the book series Studies on Religion and Memory has now been released. The book The Shifting Boundaries of Tolerance: Inclusion, Exclusion, and Religious Communities of Memory is edited by Ingvar Dahlbacka, Kim Groop and Jakob Dahlbacka. It contains five (refereed) articles by five scholars who approach the difficult topic of tolerance and toleration. We are happy to announce that this very day (28.11.2014) the website of the Religion and Memory Network has been launched! The internet address is www.relmem.net.
Today on the 21st of November we registered a new Book Series - Studies on Religion and Memory (ISSN 2342-7159) - through the National Library of Finland. The Series which is managed by the Religion and Memory Network will include titles in English and Swedish, but also possibly in other languages. All books and/or articles in the series will be peer reviewed. The plan is to release the first title in 2015.
On the 17th of November 2014 a new ambitious research network was founded. This network - Religion and Memory - connects six academic institutions and research milieus in Sweden and Finland and will focus on issues pertaining to collective memory and religious uses of history.
